Stay Updated on the Dania Beach Schedule

The FPL Dania Beach Clean Energy Center successfully completed thorough reviews by numerous county, state and federal government agencies (see the list below). As part of the lengthy review process, there were multiple opportunities for public input. Florida’s Siting Board unanimously approved the project in November 2018.

We have started to dismantle the existing power plant, a process that could take up to 12 months to complete. Construction of the new facility will take nearly two years, with commercial operations currently scheduled to begin in 2022.
