Through innovative partnerships, solar installations across Florida are providing more research and educational opportunities while also helping local communities power up with solar energy. Here are just a few of the solar installations completed at partner locations.
At FIU, a 1.4-megawatt solar canopy provides shade for 400 parking spaces and doubles as a research facility at the College of Engineering & Computing.
The FPL Solar Circuit is one of the largest solar power installations in U.S. professional sports – more than 7,000 solar panels generating 2.1 megawatts.
Visit NASA’s Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex to see a 25-kilowatt solar panel system on the covered walkway by the new Space Shuttle Atlantis attraction.
Customers can also partner with FPL to bring solar energy closer to our communities, from solar canopies to eye-catching solar trees.
